We had¬†our first white asparagus of the season on thursday.
How to cook asparagus:
In our household about 1 kg asparagus is boiled in 2,5 liter water that is druged with some sugar, butter and salt. This time we wanted to keep the aromatic boiling water as an ingredient and decided to make¬†asparagus soup with it.
This broth is the ideal base for a creamy white asparagus soup e.g. with bread crumbs.

1. Melt the butter in a big pot on medium heat.

125 g dry rice
500 ml milk
30 g sugar
1/2¬† pod of vanilla
for the cinnamon and sugar powder
2 teasp. cinnamon powder
3 teasp. sugar
6 half peaches, canned

As we stood up today (sunday) we didn’t wanted to go to the bakery to get

1. Fill the dry rice in a cooking pot. Warm up the milk in a pot carefully (keep an eye on it!) until it¬† boils.
2. Scrape out the vanilla bean and add the vanilla pulp to the dry rice.
